I wanted to make sure that everyone in the area was aware of the upcoming SIEGE(Southern Interactive Entertainment Game Expo that will be held in Atlanta on October 2-4,2009. I'm working on a Unity Panel/Presentation with some other Unity developers and would love some feedback about what would be the best use of a Unity Panel. Should we do an intro session like they had about XNA last year or a more advanced session or QA...?

Please check http://www.siegecon.net/SIEGE2009/ for more info.

D.

Looks like a pretty cool event.
Keep us posted as you get closer and nail it down.
Consider posting a post-event roundup for both your fellow Atlanta devs and the rest of the UUG community.

Cheers,
J.

Do you know if many Unity

Do you know if many Unity developers attend the conference? A more advanced session won't be overly useful if there's no audience for it, but I'm sure existing Unity users would appreciate something beefier than an intro session.

In any case, Q/A sessions are always helpful.

I agree entirely. I'm not

I agree entirely. I'm not sure who will attend the conference. Not sure what they had planned when I jumped in. I want to make sure we get the new folks kick-started but at the same time I don't wanna bore the older guys to tearz.

SIEGE Unity Panel

The session will be geared toward sharing good and bad experiences with Unity and what they love about Unity.

In case you're interested, here's my SIEGE trip report

In case folks are still following this thread I thought I'd let everyone know that with Manny's gracious hosting skills (and superb grillin' capabilities!) I spent a great couple of days in Atlanta attending, and speaking at SIEGE. I wrote up a trip report blog post in case y'all are interested:

SIEGE 2009 – My (Brief) Trip Report

Enjoy!
